Selecting proper controls and components for SQFlex pumps
We recommend consulting the chart provided by Grundfos in the Product Overview file or among the pump/control listing photos for a comprehensive list of available options and to ensure compatibility. Below is a brief overview of controls and their primary designations:
CU 202 - this is a most widely used control, which is required whenever pump's on/off operation is controlled by either a water level switch or a pressure switch. In general, it is intended for applications where well water is pumped and stored for future use with auto on/off operation using external sensor. It can be used in combination with IO 101/101B modules for power backup options.
IO 101 - enables either AC generator or DC battery power backup when SQFlex pump is used with solar as a primary power supply (not suitable for wind turbine applications). These can be used with CU 202 (or other CU 200 series) control as needed.
IO 101-115V is for use with 115VAC power generators and SQFlex pumps up to 1400W.
IO 101-230V is for 230VAC power generators and pumps up to 1400W.
IO 101B is for 230VAC power generators and pumps up to 2500W.
IO 50 (replaces IO 100) - is mainly an On/Off switch for when SQFlex pump is used with solar (with or without CU 202 or DC battery backup). It also allows for flexible wiring options - w/ (1) DC conductor earthed or with floating DC supply (or AC connection).
